The shortest member of our family is a cockerspaniel with enough hair to cover a full-grown lion. In fact she looks a lot like a little wooly brown bear. We shear her in the summer just to keep her cool.
My son's dog is a different story. She's a small Jack Russell terrier with stiff hair that wouldn't warm a cold face in a snow storm. She sits at the patio glass door with envious eyes while Laney (the cockerspaniel) romps in the cool air and her body shakes at the thought of entering a 40 degree back yard.
Diamond's the Jack Russell terrier with white hair, a small frame, a pink collar and girlie-girl look in her eye.
The point is--she needs a new coat and that's my very next sewing project.
